DOE OCIO Chief Data Officer

Mission Focus: 

The Enterprise Data Management (EDM) Program mission is to scale DOE’s collective genius and mission leadership through cultivation of cross-sector partnerships, next-generation technologies and workforce enablement required to maximize the value of data for informed decision-making. The CDO established the EDM Program to serve as one mechanism to deliver on the CDO’s mission and ensure DOE components have the guidance, tools and support to seamlessly integrate enterprise data goals and best practices into existing priorities, operations and legislative requirements. Current efforts include publishing DOE's Enterprise Data Strategy, raising awareness of the Spatial Platform for Advanced Research and Collaboration (SPARC), & standing up the Energy Data & Information System for Operations and iNnovation (EDISON).

EA - Office of Cyber Assessments

Mission Focus: 

The Office of Cyber Assessments (EA-60) within the Office of Enterprise Assessments (EA) conducts independent evaluations of the effectiveness of classified and unclassified cybersecurity policies and programs throughout the Department. EA-60 uses its knowledge and expertise of the DOE missions to develop threat-informed assessment programs that provide results to risk decision makers to enhance their cybersecurity capabilities and support the secure enablement of the site or program mission.

Mission Focus: 

ESnet provides high-bandwidth, reliable connections that link scientists at national laboratories, universities, and other research institutions, enabling them to collaborate on some of the world's most important scientific challenges, including energy, climate science, and the origins of the universe.

Mission Focus:

The Idaho National Laboratory and Homeland Security Directorate is committed to advancing cybersecurity and technology to protect and enhance the nation's energy infrastructure. In support of the DOE CIO Cybersecurity and Technology Conference, our focus is on fostering innovation, securing critical systems, and ensuring a sustainable energy future through collaborative expertise and cutting-edge research.

Mission Focus:

NNSA - Nuclear Enterprise Assurance (NEA)

Mission Focus:

A Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE) countersubversion program established to prevent, detect, and/or mitigate potential consequences of subversion of nuclear weapons (NW s) and NW-enabling capabilities.

Mission Focus:

NNSA IM strives to be a mission partner that enables NNSA to accomplish its strategic goals and objectives through the delivery of secure, agile, and risk-informed IT and cybersecurity solutions.

OCIO Enterprise Operations and Shared Services (IM-60)

Mission Focus: 

EITS Video Operations team will be showcasing the EITS Teams Room standard conference room setup along with a new AI-powered camera, the Logitech Sight. EITS has been working to provide meaningful collaboration solutions for the DOE enterprise that are scalable to and simple to use. The newest add-on to their conference room solution, the Logitech Sight, provides an enhanced view of the in-room participants that helps remote attendees feel like they’re actually seated at the table.

Mission Focus:

Deliver clean energy technology demonstration projects at scale in partnership with the private sector to accelerate deployment, market adoption, and the equitable transition to a decarbonized energy system.

Mission Focus:

Lead the Department of Energy’s research, development, and demonstration programs to strengthen and modernize our nation’s power grid so that our nation maintains a reliable, resilient, and secure electricity delivery infrastructure.

Mission Focus:

The OSDBU provides maximum practicable opportunities in the Departments’ acquisitions to all small business concerns: Make it easier for small businesses to do business with the DOE; Maximize small business opportunities by cultivating more productive relationships with internal DOE stakeholders; Maximize small business awards and improve socio-economic category performance.

Mission Focus:
